Police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide on New Year’s Eve.

Pittsburgh Police say 42-year-old Timothy Debold is charged with killing 44-year-old Lonnell Newkirk.

Newkirk was shot on a porch in the 100 block of Maytide Street in Carrick.

Debold was taken into custody by the Fugitive Apprehension Unit and U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on January 9 on unrelated arrest warrants.

He’s being held in the Allegheny County Jail.

In addition to homicide, he is charged with burglary, carrying a firearm without a license and more.
