Three homes were damaged by fire early this morning in Avalon Borough.
The fires were reported before 5:30 a.m. in the 200 block of McKinley Avenue.
One of the houses was engulfed in flames and two nearby homes have fire damage.
A police officer was injured as he rescued an elderly woman but is expected to be okay.
