Political influencer Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on a Utah college campus Wednesday, in the latest politically motivated attack in the United States.
Assassination attempts have been made against Governor Josh Shapiro and President Donald Trump. Minnesota’s speaker of the house and her husband were killed this summer.
And many more attempts have been made against figures on both sides of the aisle.
This latest killing, while incredibly tragic, gives us an opportunity to take a long, hard look at ourselves.
Violence isn’t exclusive to one side or the other.
It is an American problem.
An overwhelming majority of us, left and right, find political violence disgusting and abhorrent. We are the ones that need to come together to say ‘no more’.
We love our family, friends and neighbors despite their political beliefs.
