Scarehouse has been a Pittsburgh institution during the Halloween season for over 20 years, but it won't be opening this year.
Pittsburgh Magazine's Kristy Graver talked about it on the Big K Morning Show Thursday.
“Owner Scott Simmons says there are tentative plans for smaller-scale experiences throughout the year and ideas for a future revival, but like a full-scale resurrection of the popular haunted attraction that was in Etna for years then moved to Pittsburgh Mills, that would take a significant outside investment,” said Graver.
Simmons hopes to have Scarehouse up and running again in the coming years.
