The Negley Station in Shadyside is undergoing renovations including improvements to ramps, platforms and waiting areas. Local leaders’ broke ground on the changes today.
Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey said the project promotes safety, productivity and an investment in infrastructure.
“This is what we need. As we go forward, we have to continue to make the investments in our infrastructure so that we can continue to connect our residents to schools, to jobs, the medical facilities.”
The project is expected to wrap by 2023.
