PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) Thursday afternoon, Pittsburgh Police opened an investigation on possible human skeletal remains found in wooded area.
Police vehicles were seen on the 2000 block of Colwell Street near the Crawford-Roberts and Uptown neighborhoods.
Investigators stated that they were called to the area around 2:00 p.m. Thursday by a working crew who found the remains.
The remains that were recovered have been determined to be from human origin.
The remains were found about half a mile away from Pittsburgh Police Zone 2 station.
Further investigation is taking place.
