Pothole blitz planned for Saturday in Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Department of Public Works is planning a citywide pothole blitz Saturday.

Beginning at 6 a.m. 30 trucks, loaded with ready-to-use asphalt called cold patch, will be driving routes and stopping to fill potholes as they're spotted.

The blitz follows Wednesday's warmer weather resulting in numerous potholes.

City residents can report a pothole by calling 311.
