A high wind warning is wreaking havoc across the area Friday morning.
In Shaler Township, gusty winds caused a tree fell onto the roof of a house this morning.
Dispatchers say the tree fell onto the home in the 300 block of Belladonna Drive.
It is unknown at this time if there are any injuries or if the home was occupied at the time.
Thousands are without power as the wind brings down power lines across the area.
Just a few of the reported areas affected are at the intersection of Shaler Street and Rutlege Drive.
In Kennedy Township, downed wires closed part of Fairhaven Road.
Power to homes and stop lights are also currently down.
Duquesne Light says they will have crews working into the evening.
A wind advisory remains in place until 6:00 tonight and gusts are expected to reach up to 50 miles per hour.
