Giant Eagle is teaming up with one of Pittsburgh’s biggest names in an effort to save customers money on their prescription drugs.
Entrepreneur and Mt. Lebanon native Mark Cuban will be in Pittsburgh Wednesday at the Giant Eagle Market District in Robinson Township to announce a partnership between the local grocery chain and his "Cost Plus Drug Company".
Cost Plus offers lower prescription drug prices by eliminating the middleman and negotiating prices directly with manufactures while providing transparency on the costs that go into selling the medication.
“The company’s Team Cuban Card pharmacy benefit card can now be used at Giant Eagle Pharmacy locations,” a release from Giant Eagle states.
Cost Plus was founded by Cuban and radiologist Alex Oshmyansky in early 2022.
