Another local organization received its largest donation ever, thanks to MacKenzie Scott.
Scott, who is Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife, has donated $10 million to Pressley Ridge.
The organization provides mental health, foster care, and special education services to local families and children.
Pressley Ridge President and CEO Susanne Cole says they plan to use the money to serve the community.
“We will definitely use the funds to work to advance the strategic plan. Our strategic plan really focuses on key areas to help kids and families. Our plan’s focus right now is on racial equity and really complex issues for kids and families.”
Cole says she is grateful for and humbled by Scott's investment in Pressley Ridge's mission.
