An incident over the weekend involved the Republican nominee for vice president at a well-known local restaurant chain.
Ohio Senator JD Vance was initially turned away Saturday at Primanti Brothers in North Versailles.
An NBC reporter posted on “X” (formally Twitter) a restaurant worker told the press that cameras were not allowed and they did not want a ‘campaign event.”
In a statement, Primanti's said Vance and his team were eventually welcomed to come inside.
Later, Vance told supporters in the parking lot “it’s a great local business. Let’s keep on supporting it.”
In August, Primanti Brothers allowed the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz campaign to reserve its location in Moon Township but said it had no advance notice of the Vance visit.
