Pothole patching continues today at Pittsburgh Mills after crews started filling holes over the weekend.

County Council member Pat Catena told KDKA's Marty Griffin it took a criminal investigation to get Namdar Realty Group to get things moving.

“They haven’t responded to the township out there, they didn’t respond to (Allegheny County) Councilman (Nicholas) Futules, they didn’t respond to the state rep, it took the D.A.’s office,” said Catena.

Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala’s office served a search warrant at a bank last week for Pittsburgh Mills financial statements.

Retailers on the property say they've been paying a monthly maintenance fee but Namdar has not used the funds to maintain the roads and parking lots.

Frazer Township is suing Namdar for almost $5 million to repair them.
