Raccoon Twp. Police arrest man accused of attacking elderly woman

A man accused of pushing and punching an elderly woman, and stealing over $100 from her has been arrested.

Raccoon Township Police say Steven Bombiani was found hiding inside a trailer in New Sewickley Township.

Along with New Sewickley Township Police, the Beaver County Sherriff's Office and Detectives from the Beaver County Attorney's Office helped Raccoon Police take Bombiani into custody.

Sergeant Ben Fenchak released a statement after Bombiani was taken into custody.

"On behalf of the victim, I, Sgt. Fenchak, would like to personally thank the media outlets and their viewers/listeners for providing us with the information leading to the suspects quick apprehension. I would also like to personally thank the leadership of The New Sewickley Twp. Police, Beaver County Sheriff's Office, and District Attorney's Office who, without hesitation, provided every resource they had, including K-9's and drone technology, to assist.

The Beaver County DA will be prosecuting the case.

The woman is still undergoing medical procedures for her injuries.
