Kennywood's Racer roller coaster was closed after a picture went viral showing concrete blocks holding up of the coaster's support beams.

On Thursday, the Racer will reopen.

The Racer is ready to reopen after a viral photo led Kennywood Park to shut the coaster down for one day amid safety concerns from the public.

People were worried about the safety of the ride after a photo went viral, showing part of the coaster seemingly propped up on concrete blocks.

Kennywood released at statement to KDKA Radio this morning stating, "a non-structural enhancement under the station was made yesterday and the ride will reopen today".

The Department of Agriculture said it heard the concerns and sent an inspector to the park earlier this week, saying that they found the support in question was not a primary structural support, but a back-up support.

The department website shows the Racer was inspected on Wednesday.

Kennywood confirmed that work was being done adding all rides in the amusement park are inspected daily.
