It’s a sight not many people get to witness in their lifetime.
A woman driving in Irwin spotted an albino deer overnight.
Tabitha Poland tells KDKA Radio she saw the deer while she was doing some Door Dash deliveries.
She says she saw it near First Street heading toward Harrison City.
Poland posted the photos to a local Facebook community page so more people could enjoy it.
“I wanted to make sure everyone can see its beauty and enjoy how special nature was and get a picture to share with everyone since I know not many people ever get to see one in their lifetime,” said Poland.
An albino buck was illegally poached last December in Perryopolis, Fayette County.
Hunter Jonathan Keffer told KDKA Radio at the time that he enjoyed observing the deer the past eight years.
Jonathan Keffer tells KDKA Radio, “It is a shame he was killed, but to be poached is despicable.”
The albino deer witnessed in Irwin doesn’t have any antlers.
That typically means the deer is a female doe.
