But on Sunday night, Ravens kicker Tyler Loop missed wide right to end the game and give the Steelers the AFC North division title.
The problem for Loop was he was kicking into a blessed field.
Father Maximilian Maxwell, the Prior of Saint Vincent Abbey in Latrobe, was seen on video sprinkling holy water on the end zone prior to Sunday night’s game.
The Steelers have hosted Training Camp at the Catholic college for 60 years.
KDKA Radio has reached out to Fr. Maxwell, who confirmed it was him that blessed the end zone.
Hopefully, the Steelers will ask Fr. Maxwell to return before Monday night’s Wild Card game against the Houston Texans.
