After 30 years in business, Redbeard's Sports Bar on Mount Washington will close next week.
Owner Len Semplice says he has decided not to renew the lease for the Shiloh Street bar and Redbeard's will close on December 21.
"The Mt. Washington community has been our family, and we have grown together over the years," Semplice said in a Facebook post. "I want to thank all our loyal customers from the mount and all-around Western Pa as well as the hundreds of tourists that made that ride up the incline to enjoy our locally owned establishment whether it was to watch their favorite sports team play or enjoying dinner and drinks while listening to Acoustics on the patio."
Semplice is only calling it a semi-retirement.
That’s because Redbeard's Downtown location on Sixth Street will remain open.
You can visit Redbeards in the Cultural District Monday through Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. Kitchen closes at midnight.
