Officers responded to reports of an active shooter at South Hills Village Mall Wednesday afternoon, but officials say it was unfounded and there is no threat to the area.

Bethel Park Police took to Twitter and said no direct eyewitness has come forward and no description was ever given of an active shooter.
Police also says officers checked the mall extensively and nothing was found.
