Shots fired near South Hills Village movie theater

UPDATE: Bethel Park Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public after shots were fired at AMC Theater at South Hills Village Mall.

Police say that the suspects at the scene fled in a vehicle after the shots were fired and “were taken into custody by neighboring South Hills Police Depts.”

Bethel Park Police originally responded to the font of the theater for reports of a person that was shot. Upon arrival they found a male that was assaulted.

They say an unknown number of shots were fired and no one was hit by the gunfire.

Bethel Park police confirm they're investigating a reported shot fired incident at South Hills Village Mall.

A large police presence is in the area of Mt. Lebanon including Pittsburgh Police and the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office are among the many departments on the scene.

Police scanner audio say police were looking for the suspects in a black Kia, reportedly stolen from Penn Hills.

Multiple reports indicate the incident happened at the AMC movie theater near the mall.

Police are reportedly chasing a least one of the suspects on foot in the Dormont area.

According to reports, two people are in custody and two others are on the loose.
