Restaurant in Garfield ordered closed after inspection finds nearly 20 violations

A restaurant in Garfield has been ordered closed by the Allegheny County Health Department.

A total of 19 violations were reported during an inspection earlier this week at Pho Minh Vietnamese Cuisine, including two considered “high-risk”.

The high-risk violations including rodent droppings found in several areas, including in the basement, dry storage area, kitchen, by a shelf on the microwave, in overhead lights in the kitchen and on stairs leading to the basement.

The other, cut cabbage was found in a cooler temped at 54 degrees and marinating meat was at 45 degrees.

Cold-holding foods must be at 41 degrees or lower.

The inspector was the entire restaurant has to be deep cleaned “from top to bottom along with several other things before it can be reopened.
