A restaurant in Southwestern PA has been ruled “out of compliance” after a recent health inspection.
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety says Do Wood-Fired restaurant on Fifth Street in Irwin was hit with nine violations, one considered a risk factor after an inspection prompted by a complaint.
Inspectors say various foods, including cheese, chick and other meat, were found held at 58 and 68 degrees in a beverage cooler for “an undetermined period of time.”
Food must be cold-held at 41 degrees or lower.
All of those items were thrown away during the inspection.
The ambient temperature of two beverage coolers were at 58 and 68 degrees separately.
Multiple live house flies were found throughout the kitchen and prep area due to a door propped open.
The full inspection report can be found here along with any updates.
