Monday's Union Restaurant has reopened in Unity Township, Westmoreland County after a large search for a woman that fell into a nearby sinkhole.

The eatery was taken over by first responders and construction crews searching for Elizabeth Pollard after she fell into the abandoned mine while searching for a cat.

Monday Union's owner Paul Iannuzzo told KDKA-TV the restaurant has been deemed safe and cleared to reopen.

The Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation is filling the sinkhole behind the restaurant with a cement-like material to stabilize the area.

Monday’s is located at 454 Marguerite Road in Latrobe, PA.
