Ribs, Pitt vs. Duquesne and Banana Ball on the North Shore this weekend

A weekend of events is about to start on the North Shore and it will impact traffic.

It is going to be a busy weekend in the Pittsburgh with the wildly popular Savannah Bananas playing two sold-out games Friday and Saturday night.

The Pitt Panthers and Duquesne Dukes clash on Saturday at Acrisure Stadium for the first time in 86 years. Kickoff is noon for that game that begins the college football season.

And, Ribfest continues after beginning Thursday and runs through Labor Day. Get more information on Ribfest HERE.

Motorists should be aware that there will be traffic restrictions.

Federal Street will be closed from General Robinson Street to the Clemente Bridge and it won't reopen until Monday morning.

The Clemente Bridge was closed Thursday night and reopens early Sunday.

With tens of thousands expected at the holiday weekend events, officials recommend riding the T to the North Shore.
