Two construction projects will cause delays for motorists over the next several days.

Thousands of drivers will be detouring for several days on the Crosstown.

Beginning Thursday evening at 8 p.m., PennDOT crews will close the ramp from the southbound Crosstown I-579 to the outbound Boulevard of the Allies to permanently fix the giant pothole that closed that ramp earlier this week.

The work is set to wrap up by 6 a.m. Monday, August 12.

The closure of the Ridge Road Bridge over Perry Mill Run in Forward Township is currently underway.

PennDOT announced the closure Thursday morning due to deterioration of several of the primary support beams identified in a recent bridge inspection.

The bridge will remain closed to traffic until a replacement or repairs are completed.

All traffic will be detoured.
