Police are investigating after caltrops or road spikes were found thrown on streets in the community of Brackenridge.
Officers say the spikes were specially found around 1st Avenue and Brackenridge Avenue.
"Caltrops are dangerous, spiked metal objects designed to puncture vehicle tires and cause damage," police said in a release. "When thrown onto roadways, they pose a serious risk to drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians, potentially leading to flat tires, accidents, or injuries."
Anyone with any information on who is responsible for leaving the spikes is asked to call Tarentum Borough Police at 412-473-3056.
