Attorneys for accused Tree of Life gunman Robert Bowers have filed a new motion challenging the jury selection system.

This time the defense is asking for the geocoding data and programming code used by an expert who assessed the jury pool for the government.

That expert concluded the list of registered voters represents people of voting age in the area, and concluded Blacks and Hispanics are not underrepresented.

Bowers' legal team argues the list significantly under-represents African-American men and other minorities.

Their client faces a possible death penalty. A study presented by the defense says juries with at least one Black man were much less likely to impose capital punishment.

Bowers is accused of gunning down 11 people at a Squirrel Hill synagogue in 2018.
