Robinson Twp. defense contractor convicted of wire fraud

A Robinson Township defense contractor was convicted Tuesday of wire fraud and failing to file tax returns.

75-year-old Donald Smith was found guilty of selling the Pentagon non-conforming parts for ships, submarines and missile launchers and didn't file corporate tax returns from 2020 to 2024.

Government prosecutors said Smith made a half-million dollars by selling the military lower-quality parts. A sentencing date has not been set.
