Traffic is now traveling on Adams Street in Rochester, Beaver County, which had been closed to motorists for five months.
The reason for the road closure was a $ 7 million rehabilitation project, which ended two months ahead of schedule.
The closure of Adams Street and Virginia Avenue led to significant driver frustration and was cited as a reason for at least one local business closing.
Rochester Borough Police say that, weather permitting, there will be partial closures on Adams Street “to allow crews to safely continue necessary work.”
“We understand the recent traffic disruptions have been frustrating for the community and appreciate everyone’s continued patience, cooperation, and understand while this work is completed,” Police said in a Facebook post.
