A popular pizzeria in the Pittsburgh area that has been closed since the end of June will reopen next weekend.
Rockaway Pizza on South Braddock Avenue in Regent Square announced on its website it will reopen on September 26 at noon.
The restaurant was closed due to a medical issue with its owner.
Josh Sickels says he has multiple herniated disc’s in his spine and has decided to focus on rehabilitation.
“Thank you to everyone who reached out with support and well wishes,” Sickels wrote.
Rockaway is known for its New York-style, Sicilian and specialty pizzas.
The pizzeria recently moved from White Oak to Edgewood and has finished in the top 5 of the Bubba Show Best Pizza in Pittsburgh contest on 100.7 Star.
