UPDATE 2: Rt. 65 has reopened in both directions.
UPDATE: A deadly two-car crash on Route 65 is under investigation. The crash happened just after 1230 on the 1000 block of Ohio River Boulevard. Allegheny County police say the adult man who was driving one of the vehicles later died at the hospital. An adult and woman and a four year old girl were in the other vehicle. They too have been hospitalized but there's no word on their condition.
A major accident in Bellevue has Route 65 shut down in both directions.
This is between Elizabeth Avenue and Riverview Avenue near the Wendy’s.
PennDOT says emergency personnel are on the scene.
The accident happened around 12:30 this afternoon and Emsworth VFC says they expect the road to be closed for “an extended period of time.”
At least one person has been hospitalized.
