UPDATE: The road has reopened to traffic.
An overturned truck has closed Rt. 28 northbound at the Fox Chapel/Waterworks Drive/Freeport Road interchange.
That is exit 8.
One witness tells KDKA Radio they went past scene just after 9:15 and saw a MAC.bid truck on its side with the driver’s side up in the air, blocking both lanes.
Emergency personnel are on the scene of the accident involving a box truck, with drivers being redirected off the road.
Drivers should use alternate routes.
