A new chaperone policy will go into effect on Friday at Sandcastle.
Anyone under 15 must be accompanied by a chaperone, and anyone who can't provide a valid ID that they are at least 16 will be denied entry.
Each chaperone must be at least 21 and can accompany up to six guests who are 15 or younger, unless they're part of an organized or ticketed group like a church or school.
Sandcastle says the new policy will enhance safety and security measures while maintaining a family friendly environment for its visitors.
It’s the latest chaperone policy around the area.
Market Square and Kennywood both have instituted policies over the past few months amid an uptick in so-called "teen takeovers".
