An Easter favorite is back on shelves.

Sarris Candies and many other candy producers had to skip the jelly beans last year thanks to supply chain issues.

Bill Sarris tells KDKA Radio they'll be back in Easter baskets this year.

“Finally, this July, we found out we were able to get the pectin which let us go in and go, we’re going to get our beans again, so we have them, we have plenty,” said Sarris.

Pectin is a fiber found in fruit and is a key ingredient that helps in thickening.

Sarris tried an alternative jelly bean in the past but that was faced with fan backlash.

He says bags are flying off the shelves.

Still, early Easter isn't ideal for candy companies like his.

Sarris says it basically pits Valentine's Day and Easter buying against each other.
