The unique brand of Savannah Bananas baseball is coming back to Pittsburgh in 2027.
The Bananas will play at PNC Park on Friday, August 6 and Saturday, August 7 against the Indianapolis Clowns.
Tickets have no officially gone on sale, but you can join a ticket lottery list on the Bananas website. You have until October 31 to sign up.
In February, a random drawing will be held to select who is eligible to buy tickets.
The Bananas last played in Pittsburgh with two games against the Texas Tailgaters in 2025. Both games were sold out and were the among the hottest tickets in the city that year.
Pirates’ Hall of Famer Jack Wilson even suited up for the Bananas during the games in Pittsburgh in 2025.
The Savannah Bananas are like the baseball version of the Harlem Globetrotters.
Watching a Bananas game will be something you've never seen before.
In-game pranks, players dancing, interaction with fans in the stands, stilts, kilts, celebrity appearances, comedy skits and more are just some of the unique things you may see on the field.
Some of the rules include no bunting, no mound visits, no walks allowed, no batter step outs, a two-hour time limit, a fan catching a foul ball is an out and more.
“We are excited to host another round of Banana Ball in Pittsburgh,” said VisitPITTSBURGH's VP, Sports Events Jim Britt. "Their return underscores the continued evolution of our city's reputation as a premier sports destination. Major sports events like this do more than entertain—they drive significant economic impact and demonstrate our ability to host innovative, large-scale sports properties. We're happy to welcome Banana Nation back and continue building on our world-class sports legacy."
