A person has died after an accident involving a school van on the North Side Monday morning.
The driver died after the van hit a utility pole at West North Avenue and Arch Street in Allegheny Center.
No children were in the van at the time of the crash.
It’s believed the 67-year-old victim suffered a heart attack and then crashed into the pole.
First responders found the man unresponsive and trapped in the vehicle upon arrival.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead at short time later.
