Tarentum residents are holding a Second Chance Trick or Treat on Saturday after three loose pit bulls attacked some trick or treaters last night.
Three people were bitten by the loose dogs, and police say none of the injuries are life threatening.
The dog's owner is in custody and police shot one of the dogs involved.
A second was later located and contained. No word on the status of the third dog.
The borough is also reminding pet owners that securing their dogs is one of the responsibilities of owning a dog.
The second-chance trick or treat is being held at Tarentum’s Riverview Memorial Park from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
While the event isn’t officially sponsored by Tarentum, they say they support the second-chance trick or treat and will provide electric and water services.
The event is organized by Angel Matthews and Dawn Wyble.
