Another Shake Shack location is planned for the Pittsburgh area. A representative for Shack Shake tells KDKA Radio the second planned location will be in the East End.

The restaurant will be part of the Meridian redevelopment which will feature a new Giant Eagle Market District, other retail spaces and apartments.

The burger chain announced in July it’s opening a location at The Terminal in the Strip District sometime in 2024.

Founded in New York City in 2004, the restaurant has over 400 locations in the United States and around the world, with over 260 in the U.S. alone.

In addition to their various shakes, Shake Shack is also known for its hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken and more.

“Pittsburgh friends - we know it’s taken far too long to bring Shake Shack to this dynamic city,” said Andrew McCaughan, Chief Development Officer at Shake Shack. “We are thrilled to land the first Shack in the Steel City at The Terminal in the iconic Strip District. We can’t wait to open our doors, welcome the community and serve our delicious, freshly made burgers and shakes in 2024.”
