Senator John Fetterman continues to push for his Stop the Scroll legislation.
The measure, co-sponsored by Alabama Republican Katie Britt, would require social media platforms to display mental health warning labels.
Fetterman tells KDKA's Marty Griffin the dangers of social media are readily apparent.
“And it isn’t appropriately regulated for social media, when our children’s lives, they spend hours, hours everyday in, I would describe it, often, it’s a sewer,” said Fetterman.
Fetterman's bill was first introduced last year and reintroduced in the Senate in May.
