A 69-year-old man died in a fire at his Westmoreland County apartment early Sunday.
A neighbor saw smoke coming from the structure around midnight in the 200 block of West Smithfield Street in Mount Pleasant.
First responders say they found Thaddeus Peckyno in a bedroom.
He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
A release from the coroner says the blaze appears to be an accident due to a stove fire.
