Several inches of snow expected in Pittsburgh this weekend

Several inches of snow are expected over the weekend, starting Saturday afternoon.

AccuWeather's Heather Zehr says it will be a fast-moving storm system around the Pittsburgh area with “about two to three inches with not a lot of variation from that.”

While most people will see that two-to-three inches, other areas could see higher amounts.

The highest snow totals are expected in the Laurel Highlands and along the I-70 corridor in Washington and Westmoreland counties along with Fayette and Greene counties with 3 to 8 inches of snow.

Snow is expected to begin Saturday afternoon around 4 p.m. and will continue through early Sunday morning before tapering off.

Heather also says it'll frigid on Sunday with real-feel temperatures in the single digits.

Monday Night Football at Acrisure Stadium will see very cold temps with real feels in the single digits possible.

But, there is some relief from the cold with temperatures in the mid-to-high 40s on Wednesday and Thursday.
