The newest Sheetz convenience store opens on Thursday in Houston, PA.
The Altoona-based chain expects hundreds of people in attendance at the new store on 11 East Pike Street when they open their doors at 8 a.m.
In addition to all the usual Sheetz offerings including snacks, MTOs, coffee, drinks, fuel and more, someone will win free Sheetz for a year.
A grand opening celebration will begin at 9 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting at 10:45 a.m.
Multiple prizes, including the Free Sheets for a Year, will be given away and all customers will get free self-serve coffee and soda for the entire day.
Also, to make the grand opening, Sheetz will make two $2,500 donations. One to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and to the Special Olympics of PA.
Sheetz will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Food Bank. Anyone who donates will get a Sheetz-branded thermal bag between 9 and 11 a.m.
