Site of a former Pittsburgh fast food chain up for lease

The property on Steubenville Pike was at one time, a Winky's

The site of a once-popular Pittsburgh fast food restaurant is up for sale in the Robinson Township area.

Christian Wilhelm tells KDKA Radio 4167 Steubenville Pike (the former home of a Winky’s restaurant) is up for lease.

In recent years, the 1,584 SQ FT retail/flex space has been a motorcycle dealership/repair shop and a used car dealership.

Right at the intersection of Baldwin Road, the site was home to one of the 42 Winky’s locations around the Pittsburgh area between 1962 and 1982, when the fast food chain went out of business.

At the height of its popularity in the late 1970s, an economic downturn in the area lead to Winky’s going out of business.
