If you were driving on Interstate 376 in Beaver County Sunday, you may have seen an unusual sight.
A plane made an emergency landing along the side of the road near Chippewa around 1 p.m.
Pennsylvania State police say the pilot was having an engine issue and didn't think he could make it to the Beaver County airport.
Chippewa Township VFD in Beaver Falls says the pilot was able to avoid high tension power lines and find a stretch of road on toll I-376.
So, he found a stretch of the highway where he could land. The small plane was eventually escorted to the airport via a flatbed tow truck.
