One of the South Side's more popular bars is closing its doors for good.
The Smiling Moose on East Carson Street announced over the weekend that the location will close at the end of May.
The Smiling Moose locations in Cranberry and Grove City will remain open.
In a most on social media, The Smiling Moose said that Covid affected their business model and "we have decided to put our focus on building business at our Cranberry Township restaurant & our Grove City Brewery location."
"All we can say is THANK YOU FOR MAKING A DREAM A REALITY & FOR 23 UNBELIEVABLE YEARS!" the owners said on Facebook.
The Cranberry location is located on Rowan Road and the Grove City location is on Park Street.
The Smiling Moose on the South Side opened in 2003.
