A transgender woman is charged with aggravated assault, robbery and other crimes in connection with an attack Tuesday night on the South Side.
Police say the victim met Sevyn Monroe at Jack's Place, and was invited to Monroe's home.
Police say Monroe violently assaulted the victim., throwing the victim down steps inside the apartment and continued to attack that person outside at South 17th and East Carson.
The victim sustained several fractures and a laceration over one eye and swelling to the other. The victim is last reported to be in stable condition after being transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The 33-year-old Monroe faces felony charges of aggravated assault and robbery and other charges.
