The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Flood Watch for a large part of Southwestern PA.

Allegheny, Westmoreland, Washington, Fayette and Greene Counties are all under the watch Saturday morning through Sunday evening.

The NWS says flooding is possible from “excessive rainfall” forecast for the area this weekend.

An inch and a half to two inches of rain could fall Saturday into Sunday.

Highs on Saturday and Sunday will reach the low to mid 40s with the possibility of precipitation turning into snow later on Sunday, with temperatures falling into the upper teens.

Then, the cold weather sticks around early next week with lows in the single digits.
