Three women accused of mistreating three special needs students were sentenced to probation Tuesday in Westmoreland County.
Greensburg police say lemon juice and soap was sprayed into the mouth of one of the children, and the same child and two others were repeatedly restrained with soundproofing mats at Nicely Elementary School.
The Tribune Review reports allegations emerged in the 2023-24 school year in Greensburg Salem School District.
37-year-old Brooke Stanko and 61-year-old Teri Kepchia pleaded guilty to child endangerment and failure to report.
76-year-old Lorraine Robertson pleaded guilty to failure to report.
