Allegheny County is authorizing up to $18M for rebuilding and redevelopment at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill.
The money will be used to renovate existing structures as well as creating an outdoor memorial to honor the 11 people killed in the mass shooting there on October 27, 2018.
There will also be a social hall to host social and cultural programming to bring people together.
