Starving, freezing and abandoned dog found in Armstrong Co.

Humane Officers in Armstrong County are asking for help after a seemingly malnourished dog was found in Bethel Township earlier this week.

The “skinny male boxer/pit mix” was found on Logansport Road around 4 a.m. on Monday.

The dog, now named “Bud” was trapped by a volunteer group out of Pittsburgh and then given to a human officer.

"We don't know much about this dog other than it appears he did not receive adequate food. He was wandering on a lonely road, shivering in the cold on the morning of our first snowfall," said Officer Chris O'Donnell.

Bud’s body condition score was rated “1” or the lowest possible and indicates starvation.

Anyone that has any information is asked to call Officer O’Donnell at 724-919-3043.

If you would like to donate to Bud’s care you can do so HERE.
