State Police identify body found in Westmoreland pond

Police have identified the body of a female who was found on Monday morning in a pond in New Stanton, Westmoreland County.

Pennsylvania State Police are withholding the identity of the woman until next-of-kin notifications. She was found near 202 Broadview Road.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 724-832-3288.

The female had tattoos on her chest, left arm and upper right arm. She also had a tattoo of a cat on her left thigh.

She was wearing black Aeropostale leggings and a black shirt that said, “XL, “XEROLIMITS” AND ‘BECAUSE LARGE ISN’T BIG ENOUGH”.

She also had a jewelry on her belly button and three necklaces.

The cause of death is under investigation.
